Put Your Damn Shopping Cart Back In The Corral!
One of my BIGGEST pet-peeves when grocery shopping is seeing carts in random locations along the parking lot. Some located in the grass, some located in the middle of parking spots, and even some sitting RIGHT NEXT TO THE DAMN CORRAL.
Not even in it, but just next to it. I mean, they couldn’t even walk the extra five steps to put it inside the corral? The least you could do is help the cart-kid out by putting yours’ there.
The funny part about it is, I would guess that roughly 95% of the people who leave their carts out are one’s that post “pay it forward” memes on social media. And yet, you’re not “paying it forward” to the cart-kid.
(But I digress; that’s a story for another day.)
Not only are you doing a disservice to the kid who pushes the carts, but you are also putting other vehicles in the parking lot at risk.
Picture this; you’re walking out of your local supermarket after shopping for you and your significant other. You make your way to your white sedan as the mother of seven in the mini-van three spots away is pulling out, revealing her cart. The wind picks up, grabbing hold of her cart, forcing across the three parking spots and……….
The 70-pound metal cart slams into the passenger-side door, leaving your vehicle with a lovely dent and scratch. And it was all because the mother in the mini-van was too lazy to put her cart in the corral.
Now, I know I have published multiple articles regarding people’s laziness; (it’s kind of been my forte, some may say). But it’s something that needs to be said. The laziness of people today has swept our nation, and it looks like it has no end in sight. So please, do us all a favor and USE THE DAMN CART CORRAL. It’s better for everyone.
Do you agree that more people need to use the cart corral? Are you someone that doesn’t use the cart corral? Let us know in the comments below, or on one of The Midwestern Barfly Gazette’s various social media accounts;
