This Is A Serious Article

Normally, I try to shy away from anything that may be serious to talk about. I like to stick with the funnier/goofier material to keep the mood a bit lighter. But this is just a subject that has been bothersome for a while, and it affects MILLIONS of sports fans every year.

………beer prices at baseball games are TOO DAMN HIGH!

It’s RIDICULOUS the prices these stadiums are charging. I mean, nine bucks for a damn beer? Unless you got your tickets for free, you will more than likely have to take out a second mortgage just to get drunk at a damn ballgame.

And don’t get me started on their “high end” beer selection; (it’s not that high end, but let’s just call it that for the sake of the argument). These beers have the tendency to be a dollar or two more than the others, which is still a crock of shit if you ask me.

Outside of the ballpark, I could EASILY pick up a GOOD six pack for about the same price. Hell, there are thirty-racks out there that are only a few dollars more. It’s all about quantity in the brew game.

But honestly, think of the money baseball stadiums rake in on beer sales. You got roughly 40,000 fans at a given game, where it’s safe to say that around 75% of them are of drinking age. If each one get’s at least two beers a person, that adds up to…….A SHIT TON!

And for the guys like me that want to stay true to their five-beer regimen, they can stand to make about $45 per head.

The thing is, just one article won’t have the power to change this problem. In fact, this problem may only get worse before it get’s better. But there is always something we can do to get that buzz, and minimize the money spent at the game;
