Is Valentines Day Really Worth Celebrating?

Yes, you read that right. Valentines Day is a CROCK OF SHIT, and has basically no real meaning behind it. It’s just a random day in February that is designated for everyone to “love” someone just a little bit more.

Let me put this into perspective for you;

Now don’t get me wrong, I truly believe that the Earth is something special and that we need to take extra care of it. My point though is, there are people out there that take this “Earth Day” to another level. They turn into those “save the earth” pricks for that one special day, and then don’t really live by that the other 364 days of the year.

Same thing with Valentines Day; (to an extent).

We are consumed during the month of February with all of this content regarding one specific day of “love,” that we feel pressured to put on a spectacle for our significant other. And that content could be ANYTHING; sentimental jewelry commercials, ads about chocolates or flowers, and any other “lovey dovey” spots you can think of.

Not only that, but social media is always FULL of Valentines Day festivities. I mean, every post is even more “lovey dovey” then the next. It’s almost like people on the internet are just out to top one another in their efforts of showing affection to their significant other.

You know what we should be doing? As a society, we should be showing this same amount of love every day of our lives. We should show the same amount of love to our partner on a random Wednesday in August that we do on a “fake” holiday in February.

Trust me, spontaneous love will be more fulfilling in the end.
