Snackage After Close: ????????
It’s been about a month and a half since I last did one of these, and I thought I should dust off a classic!
“But Kellen, how are you going to come back after so long and get everyone’s attention? What do you have in mind?”
Now trust me, this concoction has come from the very depths of my mind. I feel that it is something that can carry the load in my return to the “Snackage After Close” scene.
………….I call it the “The Trivial Wrap!”
Why do I call it “The Trivial Wrap?” It’s because the name isn’t as important as the contents. But, what does “The Trivial Wrap” contain?
First, let’s start off with the wrap itself. It’s a GIGANTIC tortilla that is lightly toasted in the oven to help harden it. It will allow the contents of said wrap to stay positioned more securely than if it were fresh out of the package.
The next step would be to smear a creamy, spicy aoli across the entire tortilla. You want to make sure that it is an even coating so that the taste spreads throughout the entire wrap.
Now, you better be hungry, because the center of this wrap will be stacked HIGH with ingridients! If you are planning on attacking this concoction, you might want to keep your stomach as empty as possible.
For the inside, you will need 80/20 ground beef as your base, followed by crumbled bacon bits, melted cheese, scallions, and hash browns. All of these ingredients will be able to co-mingle together nicely to provide one’s pallet with a WIDE array of flavors.
This isn’t for the faint of heart, or even for people with weak hearts. You need to be BRAVE when trying to conquer this beast, and hope that it doesn’t conquer you. That’s why the beer to pair it with needs to be CHEAP AND LIGHT! If you choose a hearty stout or porter, your stomach won’t be your friend by the end of the night…….trust me!
In the end, trust your gut…….the way that it trusts you.
