3 Thoughts On Tomorrow’s Draft

The NBA Draft is tomorrow, which means the lives of various college athletes will be changed FOREVER. And you BETTER BELIEVE that I have some thoughts on the matter;
1. If the Bulls DON’T move up in the draft, I’m going to LOSE MY SHIT! You’ve all heard me talk about this before, so I’m not going to go into detail about it. I just thought I had to mention them again here.

2. The Pelicans Should Try And Get RJ Barrett. This can be easy, and difficult, at the same time. Even though the Pelicans have the fourth overall pick after the “Anthony Davis” trade, RJ Barrett is still projected to go third to the New York Knicks.
But imagine; two “Top 4” prospects with the chemistry that RJ and Zion have heading to the same team? They would be PERFECT building blocks for ANY teams’ rebuild. It would also give Zion another reason to BELIEVE in the rebuild that the Pelicans are in the midst of.
But the problem is, there’s no way the Knicks are going to do an even “3rd for 4th” swap; they need more assets. So if you throw Brandon Ingram and somebody from New York in (for money reasons), the Knicks could “possibly” go for it. And that way, New Orleans creates a spot in the starting lineup in the process as well.
3. The Atlanta Hawks have a chance to be the “most improved” team next year after this draft. Now let’s not get crazy here; I’m not saying that who the Hawks pick at 8, 10, and 17 will instantly make them “title contenders” over night. BUT, in my head, quantity can sometimes be WAY BETTER than quality. In my head, three key young players coming from the Top 20 picks would jump start a squads development quicker than just one high-value prospect.
Overall though, what do you expect from the draft tomorrow night? Any surprises? Any trades? I want to hear them in the comments below, or on one of our various social media accounts;

That’s fair, that’s fair. And if that happens, I’d be SO hyped! I just can’t shake the feeling that the Pelicans might need to move some people to get RJ.
