Why Are People Always In A Hurry?
It’s like people are always rushing to get somewhere. Whether it’s at the store, on the road, or wherever you may be; there’s bound to be SOMEONE in your general vicinity that needs to get out of there QUICKLY.
But why? Why is that the case? Why are people always “running late?”
Personally, I always make sure to give myself enough time to get to where I need to be. I mean, take my mornings for instance. When I get up during the week, I leave myself roughly an hour to get ready each day before I have to leave for work. I leave myself an hour to get my shower in, get dressed, and eat my breakfast.
Do I need that entire hour? OF COURSE I DON’T! But it gives me enough time to do what I need to in a calm manner, and even gives me a bit of time to “dick around” if it comes down to it.
In addition to that, I DON’T try to squeeze in extra stops if they’re not accounted for. I’m NOT going to try and hit the store, even though Maps says I need 45 min to an hour to get to where I need to be. Because ANYTHING could happen; I could have a slow bagger, the person in front of me could have a heart attack…….ANYTHING!
And if I’m late, then I’m late. I’m not going to be an asshole to people because I made the mistake of leaving my house late. I’m not going to take out my frustrations on the kid at the gas station because I planned my day foolishly. Because regardless if I’m a minute late, or 20 minutes late………I’m STILL LATE!
Now, if you ARE someone that is rude to others when you’re late; you’re basically the living embodiment of chlamydia. The days that you’re not late, you’re as normal as can be. Nothing to worry about, just going about your day; it’s like it’s just another Thursday. But when you are late, you flare up like CRAZY! Your crappy attitude comes out of NOWHERE, and it causes everyone around you to itch crazily from anxiety/pure annoyance.
Do you know anyone that is extremely rude when they’re late for something? Have you ever experienced people like this? Let me know in the comments below, or on Twitter at @KShermanSports
