“Late Night Drinking Thoughts” is OFFICIALLY 17, and what a ride it has been! The only problem though is, 17 isn’t really the best age out there. You’re already a year into being able to legally drive, but you are still one year off from being considered an “adult.” In essence, you’re just………there!

BUT, we’re not going to treat this as a “blah” edition of the series. Instead, we’re going to treat this like every other edition that has been published to this site; written while intoxicated and hopefully not spilling anything bad.

Now, having said that, let’s get this shit ROLLING! Here are my Late Night Drinking Thoughts;

Is it called a “soda” or a “pop?” This has become such a long standing argument over the years, that I am surprised I haven’t mentioned it before. People since the dawn of time have argued whether the proper name for this beverage is either “pop” or “soda.” Honestly, it’s probably as old as time itself; (or somewhat close to it).

So because of that, let’s put this argument to rest; it’s called a soda. The correct name is soda, it has always been soda, and it will always be soda. I mean come on; are we in 1967? What is this “pop” nonsense?

Not only that; have you ever seen a menu or a drink special that called it a pop? Because I sure as hell haven’t! Every menu that I have seen in my life has either used the term “soda,” or “fountain drink.”

And if you don’t agree, let me hear your arguments. Throw them in the comments below, or on Twitter, and let me know.

Do pineapples belong on pizza?

This has been another argument that has plagued our lives for a while now. But due to the rise of social media, I truly believe that it has hit a whole new level of popularity. This particular argument has risen to new heights, and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon.

However, when it comes to my thoughts on the matter; I think that you need to keep pineapples as FAR away from my pizza as possible. To me, they don’t fit that “pizza mould;” if that makes any sense. They are too tangy, and interfere with the other flavors that are encompassed within the pizza itself.

But what do I know? I’m just a “drinker from the midwest!’
